Class Information

STEAM in Action! is a class about simple machines, mathematics, and construction. By building a device to toss a pumpkin 100 feet, students will not only learn construction, but they will also learn science and physics (vectors, velocity, acceleration, and the understanding of simple machines like levers, pulleys, screws) with engineering and math (designing and building a working model) while working in arts and humanities (large group presentation skills, public speaking).
